On the Journey | DN supports multiple teams complete the first day of qualifying for the 2026 Taklimakan Rally, with seven teams occupying the top ten spots.
On May 16th, the 2026 Xpower· China Taklimakan International Rally officially kicked off at the Tianshan Grand Canyon Scenic Area in Urumqi. This year's race covers a total distance of 7,500 kilometers, with approximately 3,400 kilometers of special stages. Desert stages account for over 60% of the total distance, making it the longest and most extensive stages of the Taklimakan Rally in its history, setting a new record for scale.

After the starting ceremony, all participating vehicles immediately moved to the SSS Xpower Urumqi County North Silk Road stage to begin the 25.67-kilometer short-track qualifying race. This stage, which many drivers call an "appetizer," is mainly composed of gravel mountain roads with undulating ditches and numerous bends. It not only determines the starting order of the first stage but also serves as an important starting point for each team and driver to get into the rhythm of the race.
Car category: Fan Gaoxiang takes pole position driving Jiujiang JJ3
In qualifying, the race cars equipped with DN shock absorbers performed admirably. Fan Gaoxiang, driving the Jiujiang JJ3 race car, delivered an outstanding performance, securing pole position and giving the team a first-place start in SS1. Seven of the top ten race cars in the overall standings were equipped with our DN shock absorbers – a statistic that clearly demonstrates the reliable performance of the damping system in qualifying.

For DN, the Taklimakan Rally is not an unfamiliar battlefield. For many years, DN shock absorbers have appeared in demanding domestic and international races such as the Dakar Rally, the Moroccan Rally, the Taklimakan Rally, and the Asian Baja, continuously enduring comprehensive tests under extreme road conditions, from high temperatures and continuous bumps to high-load impacts. In past Taklimakan Rally races, cars equipped with DN shock absorbers not only achieved consistently good finishing times, but also drivers maintained excellent performance even on extremely bumpy sand sections, fully demonstrating the product's durability under prolonged high-intensity use.
As a core partner of DN, Jiujiang Racing deeply understands the importance of chassis stability in long-distance rally racing. All the data accumulation, bench testing, and track testing ultimately serve the same purpose—to transform every vibration on the road surface into controllable damping, allowing drivers to maintain their rhythm with greater peace of mind on high-speed Gobi Desert and soft sand pits.
DN Rui Xinger Team: UTV Class, Same Attitude
From rookies to seasoned champions, every member of the DN Rui Xinger Team will face their own challenges in this competition.
Rui Xinger has assembled the largest lineup in the UTV category. This is not only to strive for results, but also to promote the professionalization and sustainability of cycling across the country, and to encourage more people to participate in the UTV category.

In qualifying, the team drove their Bombardier Maverick cars to a stable finish. All cars were equipped with DN shock absorbers, which had been specifically tuned before the race, laying a solid foundation for the long stages to come.

On the Journey
The qualifying race is just the first step in the long journey of the Taklimakan Rally. Next, 13 special stages will traverse the Tianshan Mountains, passing through Turpan, Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, Hotan, and Kashgar, culminating in the final stage in Aksu on June 3rd. High temperatures, sandstorms, and continuous bumpy rides will be the real tests.
The journey continues, and the battle intensifies!

Facing the thousands of kilometers of desert canyons and high-temperature sand and gravel ahead, DN shock absorbers will continue to work alongside numerous vehicle teams. Let us look forward to this "unsung hero" continuing to provide protection and support in the wilderness ahead!
