Maintenance Log | DN Suspension provide day and night protection, ensuring Jiujiang Racing vehicles are always ready
Introduction
As the last roar of engines faded into the sand dunes after the Dakar SS8 stage, the cars dragged their weary bodies back to the camp. Meanwhile, another equally important battle, fought without the cheers of spectators, quietly began in the Jiujiang team's repair area.

PART.1
SS8 Stage Watershed Phase
After eight days of competition, Dakar Rally has entered its true turning point. Stage SS8, from high-speed tracks to rolling sand dunes and finally to rocky terrain, tests not only the drivers' will but also the limits of the reliability of the racing equipment.

Fan Gaoxiang maintained his momentum of going all out to promote and finished 24th in SS8, while his teammate Lu Binglong finished 30th. Tao Yongming and Xu Benyang finished 34th and 35th respectively in the modified group. Zhang Biaobiao finished 45th in the modified group, and Zhao Yuqiao finished 48th. In the overall standings, Lu Binglong and Tao Yongming of Jiujiang Racing are currently ranked 28th and 30th respectively.

For Jiujiang team's racers, the overall standings are important, but even more important is ensuring their racing cars are in peak condition for each subsequent stage. This is precisely the reason for the existence of our DN Supsension team.

PART.2
Post-race shock absorber maintenance
While the outside world focused on the stage rankings, Jiujiang team's camp was already lit up with work lights. Technician Lao Yi squatted beside the race cars, his tools gleaming metallically under the lights. Someone once asked him if the stars in the desert night sky were beautiful, and he smiled and replied, "I'm more familiar with the luster of the shock absorber surface; it ensures the race car can continue to speeding tomorrow."
A "midnight surgery" under the desert starry sky
Every shock absorber removed from a race car undergoes our "midnight surgery": inspecting every wear mark, cleaning every stubborn grain of sand, and adjusting every performance parameter. This is not a standardized assembly line operation, but a personalized customization tailored to the characteristics of each car and each driver.

Why must we go through all this trouble?
Some may wonder: is such intensive maintenance really necessary?
In the Dakar Rally, shock absorbers are more than just comfort-enhancing components; they are the "legs" of the race car, the only flexible joint connecting the wheels to the chassis. Fine sand can seep into anything, and once it penetrates the shock absorber, it acts like an invisible killer, accelerating wear, affecting performance, and even jeopardizing driving safety.
"The racers are giving it their all on the track; we can't hold them back." This is the consensus of our DN team. Every meticulous maintenance session is a commitment to racer safety and a responsibility to race results.

PART.3
Value Extension from Extreme Racing Tracks to Everyday Roads
This accumulation of technology in extreme environments ultimately translates into reliable assurance for civilian products.

The harsh conditions of the Dakar Rally expose problems that might not surface on ordinary roads even after ten years. When these technologies, tested to the extreme, are applied to civilian products, vehicle stability and comfort are fully guaranteed, even in the most complex road conditions. This is the true value of racing technology feeding back into civilian products.
PART.4
Ready for the next journey
With the conclusion of Stage 8, Dakar Rally entered its more crucial second half. The racers were nearing their physical limits, and the burden on the racing cars was increasing.

But we knew that when Jiujiang racing cars surged back towards the starting line, it was ready. Whether ahead lay sand dunes, gravel, or ravines, the shock absorbers would be in optimal condition to absorb every impact, maintaining vehicle stability.

Dakar Rally has two battlefields: the front is where racers conquer nature, and the rear is where we protect our machinery. Two battlefields, one goal—to ensure the Jiujiang team's flag flies high deep in the desert.
